Feeding minds...
School lunches supplied!
What we do
Children in remote areas often walk long distances to school; in wildlife areas, these distances can be even greater and this can be dangerous. Children get to school hungry, with low energy levels and are unable to concentrate. School lunches provide an incentive to come to school as well as the energy to walk to school, to concentrate and to learn more effectively. School lunches play an important part in ensuring the continuity of education.

One school meal costs as little as 16p…your daily coffee cost could provide 1 child with school lunches for a month!

In 2022 and 2023, the Camelthorn Foundation helped its partner on the ground, the Water4Wildlife Trust, supply school lunches to 10 different schools around Hwange National Park. In total this year, the Trust will have supplied over 400,000 school lunches! Thank you to those who supported this project!
